• Question: In societyhow does engineering rank among the others

      I think Engineering is seen as a good career and I think people see engineers as clever and resourceful, although perhaps a little ‘techy’ and difficult to understand.

      But I also think the future will contain more and more challenges that will only be answerable by engineers and scientists. Society will come to realise the vital role engineers play in making the modern world what it is!

      …and that apart from our jobs, we’re just like everyone else!

      I grew up in America, and I think engineers there are really well respected, and make very good money. I Britain they’re still respected, but i’m not sure the is quite on the same level in terms of pay and prestige.

      As Matt said, we are just like everyone else in the end 😉

      Very highly! although exactly where depends on peoples opinions though really. some people like poems over power plants i guess…
