• Question: what do you need a radiaton detector for

      the main reason for our detector is to detect tiny little signals from dark matter particles. The main difference between these things an normal radiation is that you really cant see them at all so nobody really knows what they are yet!

      our detector is very sensitive so hopefully we could be the first people to see there new things which make up most of the stuff in the universe! (its a bit embarrassing for scientists at the moment because most of the universe is completely missing!)
