• Question: who inspired you to be an engeneer

      Nobody – i just followed the path of what suited me best and what I enjoyed most.

      yeah the same for me pretty much. I do remember seeing something about the jet lab achieving fusion on the news when i was a kid and that had an influence too i think, unfortunately i dont remember the name of the guy they were interviewing about it tho 🙁

      I had a friend growing up who was older than me who had a job at NASA, and he built something that went up on the space shuttle, and he said he was an engineer. I didn’t really know what an engineer was but that sounded awesome to me so that really made a difference.

      I’d say take inspiration from other people, but don’t try to copy them, take bits and pieces of advice from lots of different people and stitch it together in your own personalised way!

      I think it was me, really…

      My dad was a physicist and I got into science because of him. I studies physics too at University, but after that I realised that I enjoyed building stuff and getting my hands dirty, as well as the more esoteric pure science.

      Engineering seemed to fit the bill perfectly!
