Tough one – I guess honestly I can’t be sure my cause is ‘the best’, but it’s a good one! There are loads of great causes out there and really important things that need to be done to teach people about science, from how important it is, how it works, to how you can get involved in it…

Personally I just think it’s sad that engineering and science is somehow not cool, not seen as really important by a lot of people. We need all the scientists and engineers we can get to help build the future and we’ll get all the more if people know the truth about it!

Is this in how we use our money? I’ll give everyone water rocket kits, so you can take part in our world record attempt at most rockets launched at once!

Visiting big labs is great fun, and it can really inspire you as well. I think anyone who isnt really sure what they want to work as but is good at science subjects might suddenly make their mind up after visiting one of these places and having something to aim for is a very useful thing! everyone else would just have a fun day too so its win win

I’m hoping my use of the money to create an outreach activity that could be used for a good few years. It will be used multiple times too, so lots of students would have the chance to be involved. Hopefully it will also get other engineers involved in outreach activities with students which would be beneficial for everybody.
